Woman dies after being found injured by road in Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs
A woman in her 50s died Tuesday evening in Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs, in Quebec’s Charlevoix area.
Police were alerted shortly before 7 p.m.
by an electronic device signal indicating someone might be in distress near Principale Street.
Officers found her badly injured beside the road, and she later died at a hospital.
Quebec provincial police believe she may have been hit by a vehicle while walking beside the road.
Police currently consider the death likely accidental, and no one has been arrested or sought as a suspect.
The police Major Crimes division is investigating to establish what happened.
