Türkiye tourism revenue reaches $25.5 billion in third quarter

Türkiye earned $25.53 billion from tourism in the third quarter of 2026, up 5% from the same period a year earlier.

Revenue for the first nine months rose 2.4% to $51.28 billion, according to Turkish Statistical Institute data.

The number of visitors fell 1.6% to 23.26 million in the quarter, so higher revenue came alongside fewer arrivals.

Visitors spent an average of $1,088 per person, while their average spending per night rose 6.7% to $107.

Package tours brought in $8.18 billion, while food and drink accounted for 20.5% of tourism income and accommodation for 12.5%.

Turkish residents travelling abroad spent $3.04 billion, 22.6% more than a year earlier, and 4.2 million travelled abroad.

The figures show that tourism income increased despite the quarterly decline in visitor numbers; no next step is stated.
