Rivian Adds Ghostbusters Halloween Mode to R1 and R2 EVs
Rivian has added a Ghostbusters-themed Halloween mode to its R1S, R1T and R2 electric vehicles.
Developed with Sony Pictures, the update turns the vehicles’ displays, lights and sounds into a seasonal experience inspired by the films.
The update includes themed features and a scavenger hunt, with clues hidden in the vehicle menus and an arcade game on the touchscreen.
Some owners can choose themes based on characters and objects from Ghostbusters, while the features available depend on the vehicle generation.
Most interactive features work only while the vehicle is parked, though the visual theme can remain on while driving if activated beforehand.
Owners need updated vehicle software and the Rivian mobile app to use the mode, which is available through Nov.
