Volvo Car México ranks first in premium segment in J.D. Power study

Volvo Car México ranked first in the premium segment in J.D. Power’s 2026 APEAL study.

The study gave the Swedish automaker 927 points, above the luxury-market average of 908 in Mexico.

APEAL measures owners’ emotional connection with their vehicles and their enthusiasm for them.

It assesses 10 parts of the ownership experience, including performance, safety, comfort and design.

J.D. Power collected feedback from 9,344 drivers across Mexico about vehicles from model years 2023 to 2025.

The recognition matters because it reflects owners’ views of Volvo’s cars, while the company says safety and customer well-being remain central to its approach.

Volvo Car México sold 5,915 vehicles in 2025, and 68% were electric models; the study does not give any next steps.
