Putin Hosts Children of Fallen Russian Service Members at the Kremlin
Russian President Vladimir Putin invited children of service members killed in combat to a tea gathering at the Kremlin, along with their mothers.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the meeting was taking place when he spoke.
Deputy Defence Minister Anna Tsivileva attended, and she also chairs the Defenders of the Fatherland foundation.
The gathering brings together families of people who died while carrying out combat tasks during Russia's military operation in Ukraine.
Earlier on Russia's National Unity Day, Putin spoke with children of service members and volunteers in Moscow's Red Square.
The Kremlin has not announced what will follow the gathering.
