Democrat Paige Cognetti flips a Republican-held House seat

Paige Cognetti, a Democrat, won a House seat held by a Republican and is now congresswoman-elect.

The seat’s change of party means its next representative will be a Democrat rather than a Republican.

Cognetti described her goal as pushing corruption out of the system.

She discussed that mission in a television interview.

The available information does not give details about the district or her plans beyond that stated goal.

It also does not say when she will take office or what steps she plans to take next.
