Four fighters earn UFC contracts in Contender Series season finale

Dana White’s Contender Series held its season finale in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The show gives fighters a chance to earn contracts with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC.

Gregory Foster, Douglas Lapa, Luis Francischinelli and Smilla Sundell earned contracts after their fights.

Foster won by unanimous decision, while Lapa and Francischinelli won by technical knockout; Sundell won her bout by unanimous decision.

Sundell got a contract despite White wanting her to gain more experience, after matchmaker Mick Maynard disagreed with him.

Erick Visconde won his fight but did not receive a contract, as White said he wanted to see more from him.

You put on a grappling masterclass tonight. But you did not do what I expect to see in the main event in the last episode of the Contender.
