Roland Mouret says a clothing mix-up led to a fallout with Meghan

French designer Roland Mouret says he fell out with Meghan Markle after a clothing mix-up, as described in his upcoming memoir.

He says he met Meghan in 2015, before her relationship with Prince Harry became public, and offered to lend her clothes.

After the relationship became public, Mouret says a staff member mistakenly contacted Kate Middleton’s stylist at the palace to arrange the clothes’ return.

He says Meghan told him the mistake had embarrassed her and that she could no longer wear his designs.

Mouret says she later texted that she should visit him, and Meghan has worn some of his designs since.

The memoir is due to be released next week, and Meghan’s representative did not comment when asked by E!
