Druski Jokes About Taking The Strokes’ Musical Guest Spot on SNL

Druski Jokes About Taking The Strokes’ Musical Guest Spot on SNL

Druski will host Saturday Night Live for the first time this weekend, while The Strokes are booked as the musical guest.

In new promos, Druski jokes that he will do both jobs, even though the band has already been announced.

Cast member Sarah Sherman points out the mix-up, and Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas tells Druski the band can keep its spot.

The joke plays on a real SNL tradition, as some hosts have also performed as musical guests.

The Strokes will appear on the show for the fourth time, after earlier performances in 2002, 2006 and 2011.

The band is promoting its latest album, Reality Awaits, which reached No.

13 on the Billboard 200.

SNL airs on NBC and streams on Peacock, with the episode set for this weekend.
