Heilongjiang launches winter tourism campaign through February

China’s Heilongjiang province has launched a winter tourism campaign running from November 8, 2026, to February 28, 2027.

The northern province wants to attract visitors with new winter travel experiences and short videos and AI-made animated stories about its ice and snow attractions.

It plans to expand routes including the established Harbin–Yabuli–Snow corridor and add trips focused on auroras, sunrise views and winter activities.

The province is offering one billion yuan in ice-and-snow travel vouchers, alongside some ticket discounts and deals linked to sports event tickets.

It is also connecting high-speed rail tickets with attraction admissions and increasing flight capacity from Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia.

A new platform will support international visitors with multiple languages, foreign-currency payments and faster tax refunds.

The province says it will also improve visitor protections and handle complaints promptly.
