South Korea обновs online platform on Dokdo's marine environment
South Korea's KIOST has revamped its online Dokdo information system to make the island's marine science easier to explore.
Dokdo is a group of islands in the East Sea, and the platform covers its natural environment, marine life and surrounding waters.
The system has shared research and data since 2008, under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
The redesign brings photos, videos, research findings and environmental information together, with a simpler layout for finding topics.
Expanded virtual reality content offers views of Dokdo's underwater environment, while a new digital book tells children about marine life and nature around the islands.
The book is also available in English for readers overseas.
KIOST says it will continue researching Dokdo's marine environment and ecosystem and sharing its findings with the public.
