Robyn Mashes Up Tinashe’s “Popstar” and Teddybears’ “Punkrocker”

Robyn performed a mashup of two songs on BBC Live Lounge, a music performance program.

The Swedish singer combined Tinashe’s “Popstar” with Teddybears’ “Punkrocker,” a 2007 song made with Iggy Pop.

She began with “Punkrocker,” changing its hook to say “pop star,” then moved into Tinashe’s song.

Tinashe’s “Popstar” is the title track from her recent album, described as a statement about pop stardom.

Teddybears’ song had a viral revival last year after appearing in the film Superman.

Robyn has worked with Teddybears before, and band member Klas Åhlund has produced her music for decades.

The performance brings together songs about pop identity, and Robyn is promoting her 2026 album Sexistential.
