66 Brazilian companies join alliance to promote living-wage benchmarks
Three organizations have launched a living-wage alliance in Brazil to help companies assess their pay practices.
It includes 66 companies, among them Banco do Brasil, Natura, Gerdau and Ypê.
The alliance’s founders will calculate regional wage benchmarks for companies to compare with what they pay employees.
Cebrap and Anker will provide research and assess pay gaps, while Carreira Muller will turn the findings into company-specific diagnostics and practices.
Companies are expected to use the benchmarks in pay reviews, sustainability policies and supplier relationships.
