Revolut outage disrupts payments and access to funds

Revolut customers reported problems using the banking app on Tuesday morning, including trouble making payments and accessing funds.

The company said multiple services were affected, and more than 1,500 user reports had been logged shortly after 08:00 BST.

Revolut’s service page listed card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals and customer support as partly unavailable.

The company said customers’ money and data are safe and apologised to those affected.

Revolut is a digital-first bank, part of a group of firms that compete with traditional banks through online services.

Its website says it has more than 80 million customers worldwide, making the disruption relevant to many people.

Revolut says it is working to fix the outage, but no restoration time was given.
