Possible Human Bones Found During Cleanup on Zugspitze Glacier
Mountain rescuers found bones during a cleanup on the Höllentalferner, a glacier on Germany’s Zugspitze mountain.
A doctor involved in the operation said they could be human remains, but this has not been confirmed.
Police are examining the bones and checking whether they could be linked to missing-person cases.
The cleanup also uncovered two cameras, old climbing equipment and everyday rubbish.

The Höllentalferner is Germany’s largest glacier, but experts expect it to disappear in the 2030s.
