Singapore air quality stays good to moderate as haze eases
Singapore’s haze eased, with air quality staying good to moderate on Friday.
Hourly PM2.5 readings were in the normal range across the city, from 14 to 21, while the 24-hour PSI ranged from 58 to 67.
Forecast showers across the region should help suppress the haze, the National Environment Agency said.
Singapore’s Meteorological Service also expects conditions to improve as the inter-monsoon period begins.
The agency forecast a 24-hour PSI of 60 to 90 for Friday and said people could continue their usual outdoor activities.
People should check air-quality readings before going outside, especially if PM2.5 levels rise.
If hourly PM2.5 reaches the elevated band, healthy people should reduce strenuous outdoor activity for an hour, while vulnerable groups should avoid it.
