Control Resonant sells 1 million copies in three weeks

Remedy says Control Resonant has sold 1 million copies in three weeks after launching in late September.

The action game is the Finnish studio’s fastest-selling title, surpassing its previous record-holder, Alan Wake 2.

Alan Wake 2 took about two months to reach the same total, while Control Resonant reached it in three weeks.

The game’s digital launch was followed by leaks and piracy, but its sales still reached the milestone.

Physical editions have now been released, giving the game another way to sell.

Remedy is known for games including Control, Alan Wake 2, Max Payne and Quantum Break, though its titles are not always aimed at a mass audience.

The strong sales are welcome news for Remedy, and more sales could follow as physical copies reach players.
