Zara launches Ayrton Senna clothing collection in five countries
Zara has launched a men’s collection inspired by Ayrton Senna in the UK, Brazil, the US, Portugal and Spain.
Senna was a Brazilian racing driver who won three Formula One titles, in 1988, 1990 and 1991.
The clothes draw on what Senna wore away from the track in the 1990s, rather than his racing suit.
The collection includes a T-shirt featuring a well-known photograph of Senna and garments decorated with his autograph.
Senna Brands, run by his family, says this is the first Senna collection at Zara; his niece Bianca Senna is the company’s CEO.
The launch extends efforts to bring Senna’s image and values beyond motorsport, while his brand has built licensing partnerships with companies including TAG Heuer, McLaren, Ducati and New Era.
The range and prices vary by country, and the collection is already on sale in Zara stores and online.
