Wonju to host export meetings with 97 overseas buyer companies

Gangwon province and Wonju will hold export meetings on Oct.

27–28 at a hotel in Wonju, South Korea.

The event will connect 83 local exporters with 97 buyer companies from 35 countries for one-to-one business discussions.

It is the fourth annual meeting, intended to help companies in the province reach overseas markets.

The participating businesses cover six fields, including food, beauty and medical devices.

Product displays and live broadcasts by overseas influencers are also planned.

Organizers selected buyers based on past contracts and creditworthiness, and this year they have expanded the pool with buyers linked to South Korea’s Overseas Koreans Agency.

The meetings aim to help local firms win export contracts, though no results are yet available.
