Two long-serving RTVE television professionals have died

RTVE has announced the deaths of Pedro Fernández Vara and Enrique Bravo Guerrero, two people who worked for Spain's public broadcaster for more than 40 years.

Fernández Vara was a camera operator, and Bravo Guerrero was a sound technician.

Their work featured in programmes including Al filo de lo imposible and Imprescindibles, as well as shows about historic cities and rural life.

Many viewers may not have known their names, but their behind-the-scenes work helped bring those programmes to television.

Their careers spanned major changes in how television is recorded and produced.

RTVE has paid tribute to them as colleagues who leave a lasting legacy and sent condolences to their families and friends.

The broadcaster has not announced further plans.
