Janones plans 24-hour livestream after Lula-Flávio debate

Brazilian lawmaker André Janones plans a 24-hour livestream after a televised debate between President Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro.

Janones announced the plan to members of a WhatsApp channel called “Lula’s Army,” which has more than 8.6 million people.

He says supporters will receive missions to carry out during the broadcast, but has not explained what those tasks will be.

The channel is a major part of Lula’s digital campaign in the runoff election, after Lula finished the first round behind Bolsonaro, 45% to 47%.

A recent poll put the candidates level at 50% each in valid votes, according to figures Janones cited during a separate livestream with Lula.

Janones says the 24-hour broadcast will begin after the debate and continue until the following night; he has not named the platform or explained how he hopes to make it the world’s largest livestream.

Acabou o debate, eu entro ao vivo e fico ao vivo até a noite do outro dia. Nessas 24 horas eu vou distribuir missões que vocês vão executando, o presidente Lula ganha, e eu vou dizer mais: ganha com larga vantagem
