Max Laudadio describes how he returned to the Catholic faith
Max Laudadio, a longtime correspondent for the Italian TV show Striscia la Notizia, says he returned to Catholic faith around 2013.
He says work, popularity and his own ambition had led him to stop practising and perhaps stop believing.
His daughter’s parish priest, Don Silvano, introduced him to the work of Ernesto Olivero, who founded the Arsenale della Pace in Turin.
After visiting Olivero, Laudadio agreed to try Eucharistic adoration, a Catholic practice of prayer before the consecrated communion wafer.
He says he knelt in church and felt certain God existed, then stayed for three hours instead of one.
He now says Sunday Mass brings him joy and that being a good Christian means serving, loving and listening to others.
His account connects personal faith with practical care for people in need.
