Johnstone Burgh face two Scottish cup ties 30 minutes apart

Johnstone Burgh are scheduled to play two cup ties on November 21, with only 30 minutes between kick-offs.

The fifth-tier Scottish club is due to host Tayport in the Scottish Communities Cup at 2:30pm, then face Dunipace in the Lowland League Cup at 3pm, 65 miles away.

Neither tie has been moved despite the club’s attempts to arrange different days or times with the opponents and other clubs.

Burgh say they may have to decide how to divide their players between the matches.

A crowded fixture list is behind the clash, after the club’s Scottish Cup progress led to a match being postponed and rescheduled.

The situation matters because Burgh say they cannot compete in both games with their strongest available squad, and no new arrangement has been announced.
