All eight teams in the AFC and NFC North are above .500
After Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season, all eight teams in the AFC and NFC North had winning records.
The league had never before reached this point with every team in two divisions above .500 heading into Week 8.
In the AFC North, the Browns lead at 5-2, ahead of the Steelers, also 5-2; the Bengals are 4-2 and the Ravens are 4-3.
In the NFC North, the Vikings are 6-0 and the only undefeated team left, while the Bears are 5-2, the Lions 4-2 and the Packers 4-3.
If the playoffs began now, seven of the eight North teams would qualify: the Ravens would miss out, while the other three teams in their division and all four NFC North teams would make it.
The season is still far from the playoffs, so these standings could change.
Many of the biggest late-season games may be played in the North, as teams in both divisions compete for playoff positions.
