Elgato launches its first wireless microphone, the Wave Go

Elgato has launched its first wireless microphone, the Wave Go, for people recording audio on the go.

It connects to a phone through a USB-C receiver and works as either a clip-on or handheld mic.

The transmitter can run for up to eight hours on one charge, while the handle and case provide extra charging capacity.

The mic has toggleable noise cancellation and automatic sound adjustments, and users can customize settings in a free app for iOS and Android.

It also works with Elgato's Wave Link software, which can route audio and apply effects, including a feature to reduce reverb and background noise indoors.

The Wave Go costs $99.99 and will be available in 40 countries and regions; Elgato says other retailers will sell it shortly after its launch on the company's store.
