Yuvraj Singh urges India to give three batters ODI opportunities
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has urged India to consider three batters for ODIs: Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
Kishan has played 32 one-day internationals, while Abhishek and Sooryavanshi have yet to make their debuts in the format.
The call follows a strong T20I showing in Wellington, where Abhishek and Sooryavanshi scored 118 runs together in the powerplay, a record for a T20 international.
Abhishek then made a century from 35 balls, helping India take a 3-0 lead in the five-match series against New Zealand.
Yuvraj said India risked not doing justice to their talent by leaving them out of the ODI set-up.
He also noted that established players, including Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, make it difficult for newcomers to find a place.
India’s T20I series against New Zealand ends in Hamilton on Sunday, and the five-match ODI series starts November 4.
Yuvraj Singh urged India to give Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi opportunities in one-day internationals.
He said leaving the three out of the 50-over setup fails to do justice to their talent.
Kishan has played 32 ODIs, while Abhishek and Sooryavanshi have yet to debut in the format.
Yuvraj acknowledged that established players make it difficult for young batters to secure places.
His comments came as India prepared for a five-match ODI series against New Zealand, scheduled to begin on November 4.

India Told To Pick Vaibhav Sooryavanshi In ODI Squad: 'Not Doing Justice'
What people are saying
I would love to see him in the ODIs, to be honest, and I have said this before that if we are not picking guys like Ishan Kishan, Abhishek and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in 50-over cricket, then somewhere down the line we are not doing justice to their talent
I understand we have some great players and it is hard to make a spot for them.
