Bumrah Set to Miss India’s New Zealand ODI Series

India is expected to rest Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming one-day international series against New Zealand.

The tour begins on October 22 with five T20 matches, followed by five ODIs starting November 4.

India’s two-Test series against New Zealand begins on November 19, shortly after the ODIs end.

The reported plan is to keep Bumrah fresh for the Tests, which matter to India’s chances of reaching the World Test Championship final.

The team is also considering his workload ahead of next year’s five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.

Bumrah could play for India A in an unofficial match against New Zealand A to prepare for the Test series.
