Soulframe opens to all players on November 6

Digital Extremes is opening Soulframe to everyone on November 6, ending the game’s invite-only testing period.

Soulframe is a free-to-play fantasy action RPG from the creators of Warframe, and players will be able to download it without an access key.

A major update planned for later in November will change how the game begins and guide new players through its world more directly.

In the update, the alien Ode faction corrupts the land with siphons, and players complete missions to gather energy and restore each region.

Restoring areas brings back resources and activities such as fishing, while players can also raise a wolf pup into a rideable mount.

The changes respond to feedback from players who said they were unsure what to do after the opening quests.

The update is meant to help newcomers find their way, though the developers say its world will initially feel harsher and that they are still making adjustments.
