Indonesia’s OJK fines seven listed companies over market rule breaches
Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority, known as OJK, sanctioned seven listed companies for breaches of capital-market rules.
The companies include Asri Karya Lestari, Adhi Karya, Adhi Commuter Properti, Widodo Makmur Unggas, Kalbe Farma, Enseval Putera Megatrading and Limas Indonesia Makmur.
OJK imposed the largest company penalties on Asri Karya Lestari, with two fines of Rp1.35 billion each, after finding that the value and details of some reported assets could not be verified from supporting documents.
It also fined company directors, an auditor and transaction assessors, while other companies were penalised for not following rules on related-party or material transactions.
Limas Indonesia Makmur received a written warning for failing to hold annual shareholder meetings for the 2021 through 2024 financial years, and three directors were fined.
The penalties show that OJK is holding companies and other market participants accountable for financial reporting and transaction requirements.
