PharmaMar revenue rises 12% as Zepzelca sales grow
Spanish drugmaker PharmaMar’s revenue rose 12% to €146.9 million in the first nine months of 2026.
Its net profit fell 43% to €8.7 million, which the company attributed to one-off income and grants recorded in the same period last year.
Net sales increased 20.4% to €75.1 million, with growth driven in part by sales of its cancer drug Zepzelca in Europe.
The drug launched in Germany and Austria in July, adding to sales in Switzerland, where it had been available since the previous year.
Zepzelca royalties reached €31.6 million, up 50.5% from a year earlier.
The figures show that sales and royalties grew even as profit fell, partly because last year included a large advance payment from Merck for the drug’s Japan licence.
PharmaMar’s finance chief will retire at year-end, and Elena Calleja is due to take over the role in 2027.
