BRI Sends 270 Water Pumps to Support Fire Response in West Kalimantan
Indonesia’s Bank Rakyat Indonesia sent 270 water pumps to help tackle forest and land fires in West Kalimantan.
The equipment was distributed in coordination with local authorities and fire-response teams, including in Landak and Sanggau districts.
The pumps come with hoses and nozzles for firefighters to use in the field.
Fire crews face scattered hotspots, difficult access and limited water supplies.
Smoke can affect health and daily activities, so BRI also provided masks and vitamins for residents, especially those who must go outdoors.
The support is intended to help crews respond quickly and reduce the effects of fires on people and the environment.

What people are saying
This assistance is very meaningful in supporting field operations, particularly in handling forest and land fires. We appreciate BRI’s concern in supporting efforts to address the impact of forest-fire haze in West Kalimantan.
Through BRI Peduli, we seek to support the needs of forest-fire response, both by providing equipment for personnel and health assistance for affected communities. We hope this support can help firefighting efforts run smoothly and ease the impact on residents so they can continue their daily activities as conditions gradually recover.
