Saudi media regulator opens fine-payment plans for private and nonprofit outlets

Saudi Arabia’s media regulator is accepting applications to pay fines in installments from private and nonprofit media establishments.

The General Authority for Media Regulation says the application period runs until December 30, 2026.

Applicants must submit a form, commercial registration, a list of violations and their values, and bank statements covering the previous 12 months.

They must also explain why they need installments and provide details of current financial obligations.

Financial statements approved by a licensed accountant are required if available, and the authority may request other documents.

The creditor must approve each request before an agreement is signed between it and the establishment.

The initiative gives eligible media businesses a way to spread payments for fines, but the terms and approval are not automatic.
