NFL says Steelers-Saints game in Paris remains scheduled amid unrest

The NFL says the Steelers-Saints game remains on for Oct.

25 in Paris, despite protests and unrest in France.

The game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints is scheduled for Stade de France, north of Paris, and would be the first regular-season NFL game in France.

Demonstrations over rising living costs and poor school conditions drew hundreds of thousands of people across the country.

Police arrested at least 1,800 people after violent groups clashed with officers and looted shops.

The NFL says it is working with local authorities on security and that its sites have not been disrupted.

The Saints also say they plan to play and are receiving daily security updates from partners in France.

Both teams are preparing to travel to France, while the league says it will keep monitoring the situation.
