South Korea’s UN ambassador named co-chair of global AI talks
South Korea’s UN ambassador Cha Ji-hoon was named a co-chair of the UN’s global AI dialogue.
The dialogue, launched this year, brings together all 193 UN member states, along with academics, businesses and civil society, to discuss AI cooperation and governance.
Cha will lead the next dialogue in New York next May alongside St Kitts and Nevis ambassador Mutryce Williams.
The co-chairs will summarize the talks and lead follow-up discussions among governments to help them agree on priorities.
