Portugal requests Ronaldo for Nations League matches
Portugal has requested Cristiano Ronaldo's return for its November Nations League matches against Denmark and Wales.
The 41-year-old forward plays for Saudi club Al Nassr, which also received requests for other players to join their national teams.
The call-up follows Ronaldo's departure from Portugal's camp on September 30 after a disagreement with coach Jorge Jesus.
Ronaldo later apologized to Portuguese fans and teammates, and said he was ready to accept any punishment.
His 30-day suspension was counted from the date he left, so it ended before the November international break.
Portugal's request also names Al Nassr teammate João Félix; another source says Samu Costa was requested too.
Six Al Nassr foreign players are expected to join national teams, including three Portuguese players, a Brazilian, a Senegalese and an Iraqi.
