Tartana finds high-grade copper and gold at four Queensland prospects

Tartana Minerals found high-grade copper and gold in surface samples at four prospects in the OK-Bellevue area of Far North Queensland.

The strongest results included 17.1% copper at OK Blocks, 12.0 grams of gold per tonne at Hobblechain and more than 10% copper in two Windmill samples.

The company also sampled historical waste piles at OK Dumps, where results included 8.29% and 3.61% copper, and plans metallurgical work on the material.

The findings will help Tartana rank targets for its first scout drilling, alongside mapping, geophysical work and historical records.

The area has a long mining history, but the new samples do not show how much metal may lie underground.

Older drill results beneath former mines offer some depth context, but they have not been independently verified and do not prove the new prospects connect to those deposits.

Tartana says it will assess the evidence before choosing where to drill, and has land-access arrangements in place to continue its work.

Results of 17.1% copper at OK Blocks, 12.0 g/t gold at Hobblechain and more than 10% copper in two samples at Windmill are a very encouraging return from a focused field program.
