Apple Music unveils sound-inspired visual identity

Apple has unveiled a new visual identity for Apple Music, its music-streaming service.

The design uses sound waves, liquid and light instead of relying only on conventional graphics.

Apple and producer Fred Again..

worked with NEST Acoustics to create the sound used for the identity.

They played audio through a device that made mineral oil vibrate, then filmed the shifting patterns to create the visuals.

The redesign includes a new logo and black-and-white styling, replacing the service’s previous red look.

It also draws on Apple’s Liquid Glass design language, linking the music service’s branding with the look used across its software.

Apple plans to roll out the identity across content and events, while software updates featuring the changes are expected next week.
