Bank Mandiri earns international certification for customer data privacy

Bank Mandiri has earned an international certification for managing personal data privacy at its bank in Indonesia.

The ISO/IEC 27701:2025 standard covers systems for managing privacy information.

Independent certifier SGS Indonesia audited the bank before awarding the certification.

It applies to customer data used in credit-card sales calls, how customers consent to data processing, and how requests to exercise data rights are handled.

The work involved the bank’s compliance, internal audit, telesales, branch and customer care teams.

The certification recognizes structured privacy management, which matters as more banking services use digital technology and customers share personal information.

Bank Mandiri says it will keep improving its privacy practices in line with regulations, customer needs and global best practices.
