Micasa gets new owners, closes four stores and cuts 70 jobs
An investor group led by Toni Shala has bought Micasa, the Swiss furniture chain previously owned by Migros.
Shala says the new owners will provide funding and invest in IT and digital services to improve shopping, logistics, stock availability and customer service.
Micasa will close four stores in Crissier, Langendorf, Brügg and Buchs by the end of January 2027.
The company will cut 70 jobs, with some workers facing dismissal; it is also considering other roles within Micasa for affected staff.
Micasa became independent from Migros in 2025, and the transition strained its operations.
