Tottenham to complain over Bogle tackle in Leeds win
Leeds beat Tottenham 1-0 at Elland Road, ending a five-game winless run in the Premier League.
The main talking point was a first-half tackle by Leeds defender Jayden Bogle on Tottenham forward Mathys Tel.
Bogle caught Tel on the Achilles, and Tel was substituted before half-time.
A lengthy VAR review did not lead to a pitchside review or a red card, though former officials said Bogle was fortunate to stay on the field.
Tottenham plans to file a formal complaint with Pro Ref over the decision, which is due to be reviewed by the Key Match Incidents Panel.
The incident came a week after Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta was sent off for a similar challenge on a Tottenham player.
Leeds United beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at Elland Road, with Noah Okafor scoring the winner in the 79th minute.
