Ai Ohtomo shares emotional reflections after meeting counselor

Former Japan volleyball player Ai Ohtomo, 44, shared emotional reflections on Instagram after meeting counselor and influencer Toda Jakucho.

Ohtomo said the conversation encouraged her to trust herself and take care of her feelings.

She also wrote that she had cried and felt freed from a time when she had been holding herself back.

Ohtomo shared a page from a book of 365 sayings about time, money and feelings, published in August by Tokuma Shoten.

Her posts came after she announced her divorce on October 1.

Ohtomo was previously married to former judo world champion Hiroyuki Akimoto, with whom she has three children; no further plans were given.
