Ramayana: Part 1 earned Rs 69.80 crore net in India on Saturday, its third day in cinemas.

The mythological film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi and is directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Saturday's collection rose 45.3% from Friday, with the Diwali holiday period helping bring audiences to theatres.

Hindi screenings made the biggest contribution, while the film also played in dubbed versions of several other languages.

Estimates differ on its three-day India total: some outlets put it at Rs 182.70 crore net, while another trade estimate put it at about Rs 178.75 crore including 3D charges.

The film's worldwide gross was reported at Rs 375.50 crore after three days, though it still faces the challenge of recovering its reported production budget.

Its box-office test continues after the festive period, when weekday audiences will show whether collections can hold up; the second part has reportedly been delayed from 2027 to 2028.
