Wuhu aviation town says core aircraft parts are all locally supplied
In Wuhu, a city in China's Anhui province, an aviation town is building a cluster of aircraft and low-altitude flight businesses.
Its core zone can supply all key parts locally for general aviation aircraft, supporting its goal of making a plane without leaving the park.
The wider aviation industrial park has more than 200 companies across aircraft, drones, components and flight services.
It also hosts 19 aircraft manufacturers, while a local company has received certification for a home-developed aircraft engine and approval to use it on a widely used plane model.
The park reported output of 35 billion yuan in 2025, up 32.6% from the previous year, and companies have secured large overseas orders.
The town is also building a smart network to monitor aircraft below 300 metres and plans to connect more flight services to it.
