Kim Young-chul marks 10 years hosting SBS morning radio show

Kim Young-chul has hosted a morning radio show for 10 years on SBS Power FM in South Korea.

The comedian and broadcaster began hosting “Kim Young-chul’s Power FM” on October 24, 2016.

A childhood radio dream led him to become a DJ after a story he sent to a radio station won a contest at school and made him popular with classmates.

He had hosted other radio programmes before this show, and has made early-morning broadcasts for about 15 years in total.

He says listeners’ stories and support keep the work meaningful, even through difficult times in his personal life.

He says radio brings a warmth and connection that he values, and hopes to host the show for another 10 years.
