Semen Indonesia’s Profit Rises 363% to Rp 532 Billion

Semen Indonesia reported Rp 532 billion in net profit for January to September 2026, a 363.1% increase from the same period a year earlier.

The company, also known as SIG, operates in Indonesia, where the cement industry faces excess production capacity and rising energy costs.

Domestic cement sales rose 4.2% to 22.27 million tonnes as national demand showed signs of recovery.

Total sales volume reached 27.87 million tonnes, while revenue increased 9.3% to Rp 27.67 trillion.

Lower financial expenses and cost-efficiency efforts helped lift profit, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 8.4% to Rp 3.56 trillion.

SIG plans to expand exports and pursue new demand to manage the domestic oversupply, including opportunities linked to government construction projects.

Its subsidiary has exported more than 300,000 tonnes of specialist cement to the United States since June, and SIG says it will continue efficiency measures and promote lower-emission products.
