Topuria says he would dominate Tsarukyan in a UFC fight
Ilia Topuria says he would dominate Arman Tsarukyan if they fought in the UFC.
Topuria, a former champion in two weight classes, made the prediction in an interview.
He compared the hypothetical fight to Alexander Volkanovski’s win over Movsar Evloev, saying Tsarukyan would be unable to rely on takedowns and control.
Volkanovski finished Evloev with ground strikes in the second round at UFC 333.
Topuria lost his undefeated record to Justin Gaethje in June, when Gaethje stopped him at the end of round four.
Tsarukyan and Topuria are both seeking a chance to face Gaethje if he returns to defend his lightweight title, but no fight between them is announced.

What people are saying
Arman is going to be pure panic
Like the Movsar (Evloev) fight with (Alexander Volkanovski), same thing.
They’re very used to dominating all the time, but Arman doesn’t stand out for his ground game. He stands out for his takedowns and the dominant positions he works for.
I’ve been world champion in two divisions. I’ve been in four world title fights. I grew up on the ground. I grew up wrestling. It’s my life.
