Ayuso backs Feijóo at Valencia rally and attacks Sánchez
Madrid regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso spoke at a PP rally in Valencia on Saturday.
She said Spain needs Alberto Núñez Feijóo as prime minister, arguing that he can bring together people with different views.
Ayuso also attacked Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, accusing him of undermining democracy and dividing the country.
She claimed the socialists want a plurinational republic and to break up Spain, including by extending Catalan influence.
These were Ayuso’s political claims, made during a pre-campaign event at Valencia’s Mercado de Colón.
Other PP speakers at the rally also called for Sánchez to leave office and praised Ayuso’s response to the Valencia floods.
The event took place ahead of Spain’s general election, which one source identifies as scheduled for November 29.
