Mauro Júnior left out of Brazil squad for Japan and Singapore friendlies

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti left PSV captain Mauro Júnior out of the squad for the team’s next international matches.

The Brazil squad will play friendlies against Japan and Singapore on November 14 and 17.

Mauro Júnior received his first Brazil call-up last month and played in all three friendly matches.

He started one game and assisted a goal in Brazil’s 4-0 win over India.

Ancelotti has instead selected other defenders, including Wesley and Carlos Augusto, as well as first-time call-up Jonathan Jesus.

Mauro Júnior will remain with PSV during the international break, while Brazil uses the friendlies to continue working on its team.
