D&D and Star Wars to launch two books in 2027
Wizards of the Coast and Lucasfilm announced two Dungeons & Dragons Star Wars books at New York Comic Con.
Both are due in 2027, and one is called Tyro Squadron: Adventures.
It is a ready-made campaign set during the Original Trilogy, when the Empire is at war with the Rebellion.
Players will take on missions as a secret Rebel crew while Luke and Leia fight their own battles elsewhere.
The campaign lets groups play their own part in the Rebellion without changing events from the films.
The other book, D&D Star Wars Core Rules, will provide the main rules for playing fifth-edition D&D in the Star Wars universe.
More details are expected at Star Wars Celebration in April 2027; rules for elements such as the Force, blasters and lightsabers have not yet been shared.
