Yash says Ramayana’s ₹4,000 crore budget covers both films in the planned two-part epic.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, and is directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

The budget includes post-production and promotional costs, Yash said at a promotional event in Bengaluru.

He explained that producer Namit Malhotra’s budget claim drew attention and debate, including questions about whether an Indian film could recover such a large sum.

Yash says the makers want to show confidence when presenting an Indian production to audiences abroad.

The project is produced by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, with Sony Pictures handling global distribution.

The first part is scheduled for release in November 2026, and a new trailer has been released.
